Latitudes reflect the journey Alfredo De La Fe took from his native Cuba to New York in the 60s and 70s then to Colombia in the 80s. Musical influences ranging from Eddie Palmieri and Tipica 73, both of whom Alfredo De La Fe worked with in the 70s, to Tito Puente in the 80s to Colombian Cumbia is explicit in this album. By the time of this album’s release in London, Alfredo De La Fe had relocated to Italy.
