The sound quality of the album is reminiscent of Jimmy Sabater's days of Joe Cuba Sextet. In fact, Alafia is one of the better known songs by the Joe Cuba Sextet. Salchicha Con Huevos is a remake of the same song from Jimmy Sabater's Solo album from the 1960s - both this version and the 1960s versions by the way made salsanewyork.com list as Cha Cha. A few other songs (Pa' Las Villas, Cuando Cuando for example) in this album are also quite suitable for Salsa dancing.
