Despite what the album credits say, the trumpet players for this (and the "El Maestro") recordings were Carlos De Leon and Mariano Rodriguez.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your input. I have no way of verifying the credits as given in the album or otherwise, but perhaps your comment will lead to the right people getting deserved credits.
ReplyDeleteI can't comment on "El Maestro" at all since I don't have the original album at this time.
THE WHOLE of this Celia & Johnny Tremendo Caché Cd (now available remastered) is SIMPLY WONDERFUL! (Check my review in amazon).
ReplyDeleteThe WHOLE Pacheco El Maestro Cd is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL TOO! [Unfortunately, it came with a poor sound quality "remastered" by Bob Katz of Digital Domain!...]
(Check out my review of that one too in amazon)
I am now baffled about the Trumpetists; I thought I got them right on my amazon reviews of those 2 albums, who knows, maybe so...
