The band is named La Charanga New York, but they are neither a true Charanga band (typically dominated by the violins and flute accompanying Latin percussion) nor New Yorkers. They are Colombians presumably making a tribute to the heydays of Charanga in New York, which was at its height in the early 1960s.
The Charanga craze in 1960s New York was headlined by Johnny Pacheco and Charlie Palmieri. Johnny Pacheco hit Acuyeye is represented here. Many of the other songs were not Charanga strictly speaking although they were from the same era. Well-known examples (copied rather well here by La Charanga New York) include El Ajiaco (recorded by Eddie Palmieri as Ajiaco Caliente in the album Mambo Con Conga Is Mozambique (1965)), Conmigo (also recorded by Eddie Palmieri in the album La Perfecta (1962)), Lluvia Con Nieve (recorded by Mon Rivera in the album Que Gente Averigua (1961)). Orquesta Broadway rendition of Isla Del Encanto probably dates from 1960s although the earliest recording I have found thus far was from 1980 album Pasaporte. The tribute is not limited to 1960s either - Sofrito (recorded by Mongo Santamaria in the album Sofrito) is from 1976, and El Yoyo while dating to days of Cortijo Y Su Combo from 1950s seems to be influenced more by the version made by Wayne Gorbea in 2000 (Saboreando… Salsa Dura En El Bronx).
Lluvia Con Nieve made salsanewyork.com list. This version is very similar to the original Mon Rivera version except it is somewhat lighter and brighter in tone.
Musician and/or instrument list is presumably incomplete. Perhaps they could make Trumpet sound like Trombone but I can't imagine how they could have faked violin or string sound in Isla Del Encanto with the instruments listed here.
