This is a high-end compilation of Frankie Ruiz with fairly nice but not always accurate liner notes - often a compilation album is given as the source album rather than the original album. This compilation also is very similar in content compared to now discontinued Serie 32 compilation – the two compilations share 26 common songs essentially in same order no less. Five “new” songs (Nunca Que Quedas, Perdon Senora, Por Haberto Amado Tanto, Senora and La Rueda Vuelve A Rodar) replaces the six “old” songs (La Rueda, Dile A El, La Cura, Si Esa Mujer Me Dice Que Si, Puerto Rico, Tu Con El).

Although finding original albums by Frankie Ruiz is quite problematic, I’m fairly sure that all of his songs (<80?) can be collected by buying several compilation albums and/or MP3 stores. Frankie Ruiz arguably was the biggest Salsa star from 1980s to 1990s. Wikipedia already has a pretty good discography section for Frankie Ruiz’s solo career.

In this compilation 8 songs (Bailando, Mirandote, Nunca Que Quedas, Hablame, Como Lo Hacen (Tommy Olivencia), Esta Cobardia, Para Darte Fuego, Quiero Llenarte) are included in the salsanewyork.com list.
