Greatest Salsa Ever is a compilation series by Universal Music Latino utilizing songs originally released by TH Rodven in the 1980s and 1990s. In many if not all cases, this series replaces the old Oro Salsero compilations with same set of songs with different packaging. In terms of packaging, this would be considered budget-series similar to Pura Salsa - except with 2 CDs less densely packed. A trouble with compilations is that after a while, a collector ends with a lot of duplicate songs, but it is how it is with TH Rodven albums now. For original albums, one will have to look in the used LP/CD stores.

This compilation includes material from Tommy Olivencia orchestra as well as solo material. It’s a bit too much work for me to try to figure out where everything came from given there isn’t much help from liner notes – maybe another time.
